Representatives of the University College London have developed a new device that is 50% more accurately measures blood pressure.
The authors of the project believe that existing methods of measuring blood pressure have become obsolete, since many of them give inaccurate information.
Thus, it makes sense to switch to the use of individual portable devices that people could carry with you all the time.
According to scientists, a fifth of UK adults has high blood pressure just because traditional methods of measurement provide inaccurate data.
Researchers suggested the device can be purchased for a price that is in the range from 500 to 1000 pounds. It is able to be constantly with the person and take measurements every 20-30 minutes.
