The watermelon season is just beginning and that means it’s time to make blanks from this seasonal berries for the winter. Jam from water-melon – a very sweet, delicious and vitamin. And more of it in winter, you can prepare wonderful sauces not only for desserts, but also meat and even fish.
In the future, if you want something more exotic, you can add in jam from watermelon and other fruits and berries. Combined with watermelon melons, oranges, lemons, apples, peaches and mint.
Jam from watermelon
1 kg of watermelon pulp without seeds
1 kg of sugar
10 g of vanilla sugar,
10 g of citric acid.
Step by Step recipe of jam from watermelon:
Wash watermelon, clean it from the skin and seeds.
Sweet flesh cut into medium cubes, put in pan and cover the holes with sugar.
Leave the watermelon for two hours so that the berries let the juice.
Put the pan on medium heat and provari watermelon within 15 minutes, occasionally stirring with a wooden spatula. Take off from heat and leave to cool.
After cooling, put the jam from watermelon again on medium heat, provalivaj 15 minutes, remove from the heat and leave to cool. Repeat Procedure several times until you get a jam consistency perfect for you.
During the last cooking add in jam, vanilla sugar and citric acid, everyway another 5 minutes and remove from heat.
Jam from watermelon is ready. Let it cool and rastasi on sterilized banks.
