In the hot summer weather there is a high probability that a main meal will be replaced with a scoop of ice cream. It is dangerous, said a dietician Svetlana FUS.
The expert noted that many people on hot days argue in a similar way, saying that it is better to eat ice cream and drink water, and lunch or dinner can be skipped. But such a habit can contribute to the deficit of beneficial micronutrients.
“If the body will experience a shortage of essential substances and excess unnecessary fat and refined sugar, it will have its consequences. Brittle nails, hair loss, tooth decay on the teeth are the things we can expect in this case,” said the doctor.
The specialist advised not to ignore the full meals and monitor dietary diversity, and ice cream to eat in strictly limited quantities.
